Below is a list of frequently asked product related questions, along with their answers, if you have a query please check through these questions and if your query has not been answered by them then please contact us.
- Does Micro Drainage software link to other software? It links to a wide range of CAD and road design software, including LandXML DXF and DWG formats. It also links with the office suite and it will also download results in HTML for the Internet. Further specifications for links are contained in the manual.
- May Micro Drainage be used outside the United Kingdom? We have clients all over the world. Rainfall and runoff data may be specified for any location. UK rainfall data is supplied with the software.
- What types of sections are supported? Any shaped section may be specified and analysed. Including swales and ditches, double and triple pipes, culverts and benched sections are all supported. Also irregular shapes (e.g. natural channels) may be specified.
- What types of Hydraulic Controls may be modelled? Pumps, weirs, flumes, orifices, depth/flow, gates, v notch, non return valves, hydro-brake®, crown vortex valve, garastor etc.
- What hard copy is available? Pre-set hard copy tables, listings, graphs, plans and sections cover most requirements and all have a print preview facility. Report builders are supplied for user definable hard copy. Also spreadsheet builders have been included for export to the office suite.
- What Graphical output is available? 2D on screen graphics with full flow and level animation in plan, and section. 3D views with full animation and navigational controls. Plot is an engineering drawing builder for Longitudinal Section and is fully user definable. Drawings may be reproduced in accordance with SFA standards using Drawnet.
- What network operating systems can Micro Drainage support? Micro Drainage software can be run on a standalone PC but is fully supported on Windows© 2000/2003 servers.
- Which modules should I purchase? Micro Drainage can provide a wide range of software and the answer depends on the client's requirements. You may discuss your needs with us and we can advise you on the best solution.
